Question:

Marian Mcaffee wrote in saying she never heard what happened after a number of dogs were found shot in the Fallon area. She wants to know if the case was ever solved ?

Answer:
I talked to Churchill County Sheriff Ben Trotter about this and he says unfortunately the case has gone cold.
A total of 13 dogs were found shot to death recently in the Fallon area.  Two of them were found by our News 4 crew which was out covering the story.
Sheriff Trotter says one of the dogs did have a microchip. They thought that might be a good lead but when they tracked down the person who  had owned the dog she told them that she had given the dog away at some point but couldn't remember when or to whom.
Anyway, that's where the case stands.
If you know anything about this case or if you know of anyone in the Fallon area who owned a bunch of dogs who suddenly dissappeared, call the Churchill County Sheriff's Office and let them know.
Their number is (775) 423-3116.  They will investigate if they get some new leads to follow.
