From the Ask Joe file one of our viewers has a question about a key leadership position at one of our local hospitals.
Jo Anne Edwards wrote in asking how the search is going for a new CEO at Renown Health?
It's been almost one year since Donald Sibery took over as interim CEO at Renown. Sibery was hired after the former CEO Jim Miller resigned following an FTC investigation and a multi-million dollar settlement that Renown paid out after the hospital was sued for breach of contract.
Sibery is from the midwest and indicated when he took over that he did not want the job on a permanent basis.
David Line, chairman of Renown's board of directors, says the search for a new CEO continues and he says several candidates have interviewed for the job.
However, he says they will continue to look until they find the right candidate.
So that's where it stands. In the meantime the board is happy with the job the interim CEO is doing, so there is no real urgency to fill the position until they do find the right candidate.
