Question:
From the Ask Joe file one of our viewers has a question about  a popular downtown Reno attraction, the Rink on the River.
Dean Rossi wrote in asking if it's true the city of Reno is not going to put up the Rink on the River next winter?
Dean says he's heard a number of rumors going around about the future of the rink.

Answer:
The Rink on the River just wrapped up another successful season in its current location across from City Hall.
I checked with Councilman Dwight Dortch and city spokesperson Sharon Spangler.
The rink may be moving temporarily.  The City plans to use the plaza across from City Hall as a staging area for construction of the new Virginia Street Bridge which is set to begin in May or June.   So the City is looking at other options for the rink while construction is underway.  One of those options may be the lawn in front of the Aces baseball stadium.  But nothing's been decided yet.  The City is exploring all options, but as far as we know,  the rink is coming back, it just may be in a different spot next year.
