I have been watching and photographing this herd of horses since I was 11 years old! (16 YEARS AGO) I am so attached to them! they feel like wild pets of my own! Nevada since the very beginning has been known for a wild horses! They made a decision of all things, for wild mustangs to be on our state quarters! God placed them here long before the BLM! came along!!!!!!!! and decided that it was their place, to do away with such a beautiful creature! While they were roaming THEIR OWN LAND! How do you people sleep at night??? Don't lie to yourself in thinking you are good people, because that is furthest from the truth! In the beginning they started out, to help the wild horses, because VERY few herds, we're malnourished, hurt, sick, OR a FEW horses to many, that made it above the population mark! Will you people not be happy with your self's until you have completely taken away our wild mustangs??? why don't you show that you have hearts and souls inside of you after all! Do something that you have never done before! give Carson City back their and MY wild horses! Forget about the profit you might make! for 1 second think of somebody other than your self's! Forget about the auction in March! Instead make it a day of celebration! let all of us gather and come together as one! To watch the release of these beautiful creatures, or what is left of them God has placed them on this earth! let us watch them as they know what it means, as the first herd of wild mustangs, to be released back on THEIR land! And from here on out, stop rounding up the horses! Apparently you have all for gotten why this was started in the first place! What's done is done! but from here on out let's work together to change the outcome for the horses of Deer Run Road! and the rest of our wild mustangs that Rome Nevada! The story here is that the BLM used out-dated reasons to round up a teeny, isolated herd. If you are afraid of big government--here is your cause. They swooped in and rounded up a bunch of old mares because...well that is a moving target. What is incredible about this story is that the community rallied in support of the herd and proposed some very viable solutions for any problems that could be attributed to the herd. Carson City was supportive. But that was not good enuf. The horse had to go on the public dole and be parceled out at a loss to the tax payers and become a grievous loss to the community.

OH NO! The bad horses were sent to prison. COME ON YOU PEOPLE...Get a life. These animals are NOT like a pigeon or a quail that you can feed and they come around and look cool. When you lure these horses into habited areas they become serious safety concerns. Then the BLM is obligated to do something about them. The horsenuts need a reality check. "Horsenuts".HA HA..Is that like a chestnut???
