RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A locally owned business has expanded, relocated, and hopes to bring new life to Moana Lane. Rounds Bakery owner Zak Gilbert says he's looking to add positive business to the newly expanded corridor.
Rounds Bakery is known for their unique "New York" style bagels that are made with all natural ingredients. The bakery supplies the product to various businesses and locations around town like Whole Foods and the University of Nevada, Reno.
Gilbert says Midtown has done a fantastic job of attracting businesses and he would like to see the same sentiment in the Moana corridor.
"We've had a lot of closures, there's a lot of space on this road and RTC saw this road needed to be expanded for a reason and with the amount of traffic that comes along here we think a lot of businesses will find it attractive as well," Gilbert says.
Rounds is celebrating a grand opening this weekend and some of the proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association. The special celebration is Saturday, February 22. The shop will open at 8 a.m. and close at 2 p.m.
The bakery is open seven days a week and is located in Independence Square at 294 East Moana.
