INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- After a 325 pound bear significantly dismantled a home in Incline Village last night, the bear was shot and killed, according to Chris Healy with Nevada Department of Wildlife.
The incident happened around 12:30am. The 92-year-old female resident of the home was able to get out while the bear was there and did stay at a neighbor's house. The damage and defecating the bear did was contained to her living room.
Healy says the bear was tranquilized and then shot with a .22 rifle after the bear climbed in a tree and fell out. Healy says any bear that is found in a home and said to be dangerous will be killed.
