MOUND HOUSE, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Former President Bill Clinton is back in the news, for all the same reasons, after an appearance at a Unite4Charity benefit this past weekend.
If a picture is worth 1,000 words, this Kodak moment featuring former President Bill Clinton is worth a million hits. The photo shows him posing with Barbie Girl and Ava Adora from the Moonlite Bunny Ranch during the VIP event over the weekend.
"When we saw him, I pretty much was like I'm going to go take my picture with him," said Barbie Girl. "There's no way I came out here all the way not to, I got to go meet this man."
"They're humanitarians and they just wanted to be at this humanitarian event with the king, Bill Clinton," said Moonlite Owner Dennis Hof.
As fast as the photo was posted to Barbie's Twitter account, the image began making rounds to sites like TMZ and the Washington Post. It was followed by contradicting stories about how and why it was taken.
"I said, 'Bill Clinton, I'm a huge fan, you're my favorite president. I'm Barbie Girl from HBO Cathouse, can we take a picture with you,'" recalled Barbie. "And he was like, sure."
"I happened to say to him, 'we love you, Mr. President," Ava Adore added. "He said, 'well, I love posing with pretty girls.'"
Contrary to reports stating the girls snuck in and were kicked out after the photo, Dennis Hof said he and his employees were on the list. "The Bunny Ranch went out of its way to support this event. We put a banner on (our website), we did a newsletter to all our fans to help sell tickets. They are $4,000 apiece and we were successful at helping the event."
As for those making a big deal about two prostitutes posing for a picture with the 42nd president, Hof says to get over it. "It's not Bill Clinton, it's the machine that surrounds him and the political mechanism and these girls are tax-paying citizens and they vote, so get over it."
