Brush fire burning above East Lake Boulevard under control

1:25pm - UPDATE - Moore says fire has increased to four acres. Still, no structures are threatened.

They are getting RAVEN to come in an drop water. Moore says once the water is dropped, he thinks the crews will be able to contain the fire.

WASHOE VALLEY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A two acre brush fire is burning above East Lake Boulevard in East Washoe Valley, according to Truckee Meadows Fire Chief Charlie Moore.

Moore says the fire is spreading at a rapid rate of speed and they have called RAVEN to help contain the fire. There are no structures threatened right now, but the fire has the potential to threaten structures. There are currently no evacuations.
