Brushfire in northwest Reno burns 10 acres, now contained

UPDATE: RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- According to Truckee Meadows Fire, the brush fire that occurred in northwest Reno today began at around 1:15 p.m. today.

Truckee Meadows Fire is releasing all forces now; they are mopping up some hot spots but the fire is basically out.

The fire burned a total of 10 acres.

RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- Truckee Meadows Fire and Reno Fire are responding to a brush fire a half a mile west of the Patagonia warehouse off 8550 White Fir St. 

Raven is airborne and the Nevada Division of Forestry is sending hand crews. Truckee Meadows fire is setting up a command post in Mayberry Park.

News 4 has a crew on the way and we will update with more information as it becomes available.
