CARSON CITY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- News 4 has confirmed that the Director of Carson City Animal Services has been "let go".
According to Carson City Manager Nick Marano, Cindy Hannah took over the position about four months ago, after a dog was euthanized before the owner could claim the animal. Marano said they let Hannah go on Thursday to move in a different direction.
Animal Services is working on plans for a new facility that will cost nearly $4 million. It is scheduled to break ground next June.
In an unrelated story, the Animal Services facility was robbed Wednesday night. Less than $200 was stolen, and Marano said the break-in is not related to Hannah’s departure.
