CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com)--Carson City Fire responded to a structure fire just after 11:30 Saturday night in southeast Carson on Race Track Rd.

When crews arrived on scene the home was heavily involved.

According to Carson City Fire Battalion Chief Bob Charles crews very quickly contained the fire it was out just under 15 minutes.
No occupants were inside the home. The two animals were able to make there way out of the house and were reunited with the owner after she showed up about an hour after crews arrived.

Charles says about 50-percent of house is damaged with about $250,000 in damages.

The fire is under investigation, but Charles believes the origin of the fire was at the front part of the home.

The owner declined assistance from Red Cross and instead stayed with family and friends.
