Code Yellow Lockdown Lifted At Cold Springs Middle School

RENO, Nev. (KRNV & -Cold Springs Middle School was on a precautionary Code Yellow Lockdown as Washoe County Sheriff Deputies and School Police investigate a suspicous person in near the school.

According to the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, Deputies received a call this afternoon about a person seen in the area with what looked to be a gun. After Deputies arrived at the school, they set up a perimeter around the building and checked the inside of the school to make sure everything was alright. After they were able to clear the building, Deputies and school police checked the area around the school but were not able to locate or identify the suspect.

The Sheriff's Office said that the lockdown is now lifted at the school and everything is back to normal. They have stopped their search of the suspect, but are following a few tips and leads from some students and have determined that a juvenile may be involved, but haven't confirmed that yet.
