MINDEN, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- This morning, Nevada Highway Patrol tended to a crash that resulted in serious injuries on U.S. 395 at Airport Road three miles north of Minden.
The investigation details indicate that a brown Chevrolet was on Airport Road attempting to travel south on US 395. A white Toyota driven by Jason Michael Derrer, a 28-year-old Gardnerville resident, was traveling northbound on US 395. NHP says the single occupant in the brown Chevrolet failed to yield and pulled out in front of the white Toyota. The Toyota hit the Chevrolet in the left side of the vehicle.
The driver of the Chevrolet was flown to Renown Regional Medical Center by Care Flight with serious injuries. Northbound traffic was temporarily detoured while emergency crews worked the accident. All lanes are open now.
