Driver of hit and run in Sparks identified

SPARKS, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -A two car injury accident in North Sparks off of Pyramid Highway and Disc Dr. last night caused lane closures for multiple hours.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers, the accident occurred at 8:40 p.m. last night when 43-year-old Sergio Hernandez crashed into another car while intoxicated. When troopers got to the scene, Hernandez had already left the scene of the accident.

He was later caught on Galeria Parkway by Sparks police. He was arrested for a felony hit and run, as well as DUI. All parties involved in the accident went to the hospital for minor injuries. Hernandez's bail is set at more than $24,000.

DUI and illegal? Seems about half or more of the hit and runs in California are illegals who are afraid of DEPORTATION.
