Reno, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Republicans and Democrats rallied on Saturday, October 20th to promote the first day of early voting.
The Republican rally took place at their Team Nevada Reno office at 3702 S. Virginia st at 11:30. Senator Heller and Lt. Gov. Krolicki made appearances to speak with supporters, and thank them for their hard work for the campaign.
Meanwhile, Democrats launched a series of voting-day events across town, including a pre-vote seniors breakfast, and several rallies for female and veteran voters. Their rally for women voters took place at 3:30 at the Sac & Save at 1901 Silverada Boulevard, and featured an appearance by noted Women's rights activist Sandra Fluke.
As of 3:30 p.m. on Saturday the 20th, 7,600 ballots had been cast for Washoe County. Voting registration closed on October 16th.
