ELKO, Nev. (AP) — Elko police say the body of a man who was probably dead for at least a month was found in a sleeping bag near a bridge.

The Elko Daily Free Press reports the body was found Thursday morning about 300 yards west of Errecart Bridge.

Police Lt. Ty Trouten tells the newspaper that a person discovered the body while visiting some camps along the river.

Trouten says the man appears to be in his 60s, but it was hard to tell because the body was partially decomposed. The man has not yet been identified.

Authorities don't suspect foul play.
