Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Nevada Highway Patrol are reporting that a Sacramento man was killed in a rollover near the Red Rock interchange north of Reno.
According to police reports, at around 10 p.m. on February 2nd, NHP troopers were called to reports to a single vehicle rollover crash on the southbound lane of US 395 near the Red Rock interchange. When police arrived, they found a gray 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV had rolled down a dirt embankment and across both lanes of North Virginia Street. No other vehicles appeared to have been involved in the crash.
During the crash, driver 54-year-old Ken Rodgers of Sacramento, was thrown from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical professionals. Police say that Rodgers had not been wearing a seat belt and that alcohol was likely the cause of the crash.
