Flights delayed due to rain at Reno-Tahoe Airport

UPDATE: 3:55PM - According to Heidi Jared of the Reno-Tahoe Airport, there have been 8-10 flights delayed as a result of the weather in Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Oakland (eight with Southwest and one with Alaska Airlines.

Some flights have left, but not all. There are still flights that aren’t expected to leave until 6pm and 8pm.




RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Flights out of Reno to Oakland, Portland and Seattle are seeing delays due to heavy rain in those areas, according to Heidi Jared of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority.

Jared says flights out of Reno to Chicago are seeing delays due to heavy fog in Chicago. It is unknown how long the delays are.

All other flights are running on time.

Why does the title of this article say "due to rain at Reno-Tahoe Airport" when the delays are at other airports? Can I have a job as a "Fact Checker"?
