RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- A computer issue at Los Angeles International Airport is causing delays at multiple airports in the western United States.

According to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, the issue is with FAA equipment in the Air Traffic Control Center at LAX. It is also affecting McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. Due to the issue, three flights scheduled to arrive at Reno-Tahoe from San Diego, Phoenix, and Las Vegas are delayed.

Reno-Tahoe also received a diverted Alaskan Airlines flight from Seattle to Las Vegas. The flight is waiting to finish its trip to McCarran.

All arriving and departing flight at LAX are delayed until the issue is resolved. If the issue persists, more airports could be affected.

LAX is kind of a misnomer for an acronym. It implies easy, laxative movement... but the traffic at this airport is anything but. More like constipated.
