RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- Close monitoring of jail inmate bank accounts has led to the arrests of four people charged in a credit card scam.

According to the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, Harold Gross, Heather Vanus, Willie J. Dixon, and Sean McKelvie all face charges relating to alleged credit card theft. Investigators say a Washoe County Jail inmate left custody with a lot more money in his inmate account than when he arrived, and that helped crack the credit card fraud ring.

Besides the four arrests, detectives say they also seized a credit card forgery lab, along with thousands of credit card numbers, personal addresses, email addresses and other financial information. None of the alleged fraud victims are Washoe County residents.

Detectives say they expect to make more arrests.
