Free prescription discounts offered to all Washoe County residents

WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Washoe County officials are encouraging the public to take advantage of a free prescription discount card available to county residents regardless of age, income, or existing health coverage.

Residents can search for nearby participating pharmacies by visiting www.nacorx.org. A full list of participating pharmacies in Washoe County is also available online at www.washoecounty.us/repository/files/2/WC_pharmacies_accepting_NACo_card.pdf.

The card can also be used for some pet medications.

The program is administered on behalf of the county and NACo by CVS Caremark. Cards are available by contacting Washoe County Social Services at (775) 328-2700 or calling toll free 1-877-321-2652.
