Yes. Please stop dumping them in the lake; Your kid should learn what death is, don't mask it. Just put the Goldfish under a little pile of dirt, say a few works and be done with it. Are those fish in Scheels really that big or does the glass make them appear to be that large??? Just curious.

Paladin i bet that Richard Boone's TV character would pay U a visit. His "calling card" would have a note: I used to love feasting on cutthroat trout from that beautiful lake, but filching silver miners fished em' all out. Used to be some fine buffalo stew at my San Francisco hotel/office, but Eastern "trophy" hunters killed them off! Better get smart or else just move along.

Just like those invasive Pythons in Florida reeking havoc what's a few goldfish swimming with the crayfish gonna do to ruin the clarity of the lake? They terd just as much as the next trout will. I mean there are a lot of worse things the people drop into the lake when they go in it to cause alarm. A giant sized goldfish. I wonder what will happen if they bred with the trout in the lake? Let's catch some goldietrout today what do you say? I surprised not alligators or snapping turtles have been released into that lake yet.

Hey never mind all of the overzealous lawmakers. How about a brand new movie? GOLDIE JAWS. They eat anything right? Even luscious swimming blondes or the men they swim with. Pets that have to jump into the water when their master throws a stick or toy and they have to retrieve it. On the more serious side yes people should be more wary. Even the plants from the aquariums can cause a disruption in the lake by outrunning the native species plants.

My bet is some overzealous lawmaker will be proposing legislation to make is a crime to dump goldfish into lake tahoe and then Harry Reid will have a summit with California officials to tackle the ever growing threat to the lake's ecosystem. WHAT A JOKE! Just from a layperson's perspective: how big is the lake? REALLY BIG! How big are the goldfish? REALLY SMALL! How many goldfish will it take to have any REAL impact on the lake? ABOUT A TRILLION! GET real folks. We as a society have MUCH bigger fish to fry :)

LOL I always wondered how large a gold fish could get. They are not good eating, but they are decorative. The fact that irresponsible fish owners deposit fish into the lake is a common event.
