Hobby Lobby to celebrate grand opening on May 19

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Hobby Lobby will open its doors in Reno with a ribbon cutting ceremony and official grand opening celebration at 9 a.m. on May 19.

The store’s grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony is open to the public. Local dignitaries, ambassadors from the chamber of commerce and other business leaders will attend the celebration at the 51,000 square-foot retail facility located at S. Virginia Street and Meadowood Mall Way.

"Hobby Lobby is quickly becoming a household name throughout the country," said Assistant Vice President of Advertising John Schumacher. "We look forward to meeting the area’s demand for craft and home decor shopping with our unparalleled service, value and selection."

Hobby Lobby has nearly 600 stores across the nation that average 55,000 square feet in size. This major Oklahoma City-based private corporation offers more than 70,000 crafting and home decor products in its stores. Departments include floral, fabric, needle art, custom framing, baskets, home accents, wearable art, arts and crafts, jewelry making, scrapbooking and paper crafting supplies.

Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. All Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sunday.

Complains that providing birth control for employees violates their faith,buy all they products from country that outlaws their faith and has state mandated one child policy with mandated birth control and abortion.
