House fire in Susanville displaces six people, garage considered total loss

SUSANVILLE, Calif. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A structure fire on 100 block of South Fairfield Ave. in Susanville, Calif. left six people displaced from their home early Friday morning. No animals were harmed in the fire.

Susanville Fire Captain Mark Ward tells News 4 that the fire began at approximately 3:47 a.m. in the garage and extended into the house. Damage to the home was extensive and the garage is considered a total loss.

The cause of the fire is still unknown and is being investigated.
