How to stay healthy with the smoky skies

RENO, Nev. (KRNV & -- Chances are you, or at least someone you know, has been having some health impacts from the prolonged smoky skies.

Doctors at Renown say they have seen an increase in patients in the emergency room since the smoke started moving in last week. Dr. John Watson says it's important to seek treatment if the smoke is heavily impacting you.

Help yourself out:
1. Stay inside.
2. Don't use vacuums or gas stoves.
3. Keep windows and doors closed.
4. Running your air conditioner is key as well, just make sure it's on recirculate so you're not bringing in outside air.
