RENO/SPARKS, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- There's a push to develop a 100 year flood plan in Reno/Sparks area.
The Truckee River Flood Management Authority says they hope to approve a proposal that would give $5 million to the Truckee River Flood Project to develop a long-term flood mitigation plan.
Negotiations on that proposed contract are still being sorted out, but it's expected to be presented before the Truckee Meadows Flood Management Authority Board of Directors sometime in mid December.
