RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A Washoe County District Court judge ordered Gary Schmidt to stop using false information in his campaign ads.

Gary Schmidt is a Republican candidate running for the Nevada Senate in District 16. On Friday, Judge Patrick Flanagan issued a preliminary injunction, halting the broadcast of one of Schmidt's ads.

According to the court order, in Schmidt's campaign ad, he has been falsely claiming Senator Ben Kieckhefer "supported and endorsed" Harry Reid in 2010.

I was on the State GOP Endorsement Committee & helped with the interview to determine if we were going to put Schmidt thru for endorsement by the State Convention Delegates. Schmidt was AWESOME! Believe me, you DON'T want to return Kekeifer to the Senate. If we could have a legislature filled with people like Schmidt, Nevada would be the BEST state in the nation! Please, vote for Schmidt. Republicans in the know, know that Kekeifer is a RINO! Only Schmidt got the State Party Endorsement.

Sounds like Gary. A vote for Gary would be a vote to go backwards in the State.
