LAS VEGAS (KSNV, MyNews3.com & KRNV) – Las Vegas officials have withdrawn their bid to host the 2016 Republican Convention.

According to News 3’s Jon Ralston, the city said it withdrew because there would be no guarantee an arena would be completed in time, and no guarantee of money to conduct the convention.

Ralston says Dallas convention backers already have $25 million.

Cleveland, Kansas City, Mo., Denver and Cincinnati also remain in the 2016 GOP field.

Las Vegas already has a less than desirable reputation. Think of what having a group of politicians running loose would do to it.

That's okay with me-I'd rather see it in a NEVADA city like Reno than in Lost Wages,California anyway.
