RENO, Nev. (Mynews4.com & KRNV)- A local school at risk of closing down just a month ago will remain open. Just last month, Rainshadow Community Charter high School faced a $200,000 shortfall and the board of directors voted to close down the school this summer.  Redfield , and another foundation that wanted to remain annonymous, stepped up big with financial donations.

Operations will continue throughout the 2013-2014 school year and Rainshadow will continue to serve its students.  The school says their focus now is coming up with a sustainability plan.

The school will host an event on March 21, 2013 to raise money.

Thank you, Reno community, those outside of Reno, Redfield, and the angelic anonymous donor who contributed to helping our school stay open! Come to "Charter School - The Play" to continue to help us raise funds for the following years. It's going to be a celebration! http://www.facebook.com/events/340794206026632/
