RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Marcus Woods -- an organizer of the well-known local Cops vs. Robbers charity basketball tournament and toy giveaway -- was arrested Tuesday for attempted sexual assault, among other charges.

Officer Tim Broadway of Reno Police says that a 20-year-old female acquaintance of Marcus Woods tried to leave a home on the 400-block of Linden St. in Reno just before 2 p.m. Tuesday. Woods would not let her leave and attempted to sexually assault her. She managed to get away and called police. She was interviewed by the RPD, who documented and confirmed her injuries.

Woods was then apprehended and booked into Washoe County Jail. His bail is set at $5,500. He is facing several charges including attempted sexual assault, false imprisonment, battery to commit sexual assault, petit larceny.

Pfft! He should have called his charity "cops vs convicts" since this is not his first rodeo. He was convicted in Vegas a few years back & served a couple years. Too bad he wasn't charged with being a oxygen thief! j/s
