RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Longtime Reno business leader Theodore "T.J." Day died Thursday. He was 64.
Mr. Day was a graduate of Linfield College and Stanford. He moved to Reno in 1978 to become a senior partner of Hale Day Gallagher Company, and also served on the boards of Linfield College, NV Energy, and the Reno Air Racing Association.
In a press release, Governor Brian Sandoval said that T.J. Day was an exceptional businessman and philanthropist. "Most of all, he was a long-time friend. He leaves behind a legacy of service to our state, his alma mater, Linfield College, and those of us who were privileged to learn from him. T.J. exemplified service before self everyday and he will be dearly missed. Kathleen and I extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Debbie Day, T.J.’s family and friends.”
