Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- A man was arrested on November 25th after attempting to rob the Money Tree on Clear Acre.
According to RPD, police were called to the Money Tree at around 2 a.m. after a burglar alarm went off. When they arrived, they found a ladder perched against the side of the building, leading to the roof. Police say they then noticed suspect Jason Stidham drilling into the building's roof. When Stidham saw police, he tried to escape by jumping from the roof, which police estimate to be a roughly 20 foot drop. He received some minor injuries from this attempted escape.
Stidham struggled with officers but was taken into custody. Police say that Stidham had been well prepared for the robbery, and was using drilling tools, saws, a video scope and surveillance cameras, and even a police scanner.
