Sparks, NV (KRNV & Hundreds of stolen objects have been recovered, and one man has been placed under arrest after allegedly working as a fence for stolen property.

According to police, on April 26th Detectives from the Sparks Police Department were investigating a series of home, business and storage unit burglaries that led investigators to Troy Wise, a man believed to be taking in the stolen property in exchange for money and drugs.

Detectives say a search warrant was obtained for Wise's residence, and a SWAT team was called to make the arrest, after reports of weapons inside Wise's home. After Wise's arrest, a search of the residence found hundreds of stolen objects, all believed to be stolen in local burglaries.

Several pieces of property have already been identified as stolen, but to help return the remainder of the stolen objects to their rightful owners, the Sparks Police Department will be holding a public viewing, so that victims of burglaries can come and hopefully reclaim their lost property. To attend the viewing, you must have a police report from a local law enforcement agency. The date of the viewing will be announced in the near future.

Several other suspects in this case are still on the loose, police are asking that anyone who has any information, or who has been a recent victim of a burglary or theft contact the Sparks Police Department Crime Suppression Unit at (775) 353-2450.
