RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- One man has been arrested for a stabbing that occurred at the Knitting Factory on Friday.

According to a press release, Reno Police responded to a large fight at the downtown venue. Officers found several people had been in a physical altercation, with one victim being stabbed multiple times. The victim was transported to the hospital and admitted for what appeared to be life-threatening injuries, while several other stab-wound victims were treated and released.

The Regional Gang Unit conducted an investigation and identified 36-year-old Reno resident Darrell Garrett as a suspect in the attack on the victim. On March 31, Reno Police issued a search warrant, and physical evidence linked the suspect to the case.

Garrett was subsequently arrested for one count of Attempted Murder with a Deadly Weapon and one count of Battery with a Deadly Weapon. He was also arrested for several narcotics related charges, due to evidence found during the service of the search warrants.

Anyone having any information regarding this crime is encouraged to contact Secret Witness at 322-4900, or the Regional Gang Unit directly at 334-3852.
