NORTHSTAR, Calif. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Northstar is reporting that a man died on Jan. 19 after being found unconscious on Prosser Trail. The skier was transported by CareFlight from the resort to Renown Regional Medical Center in nearby Reno, Nevada where he later passed away.
Northstar says the skier was wearing a helmet at the time of his injury.
Northstar management, staff and the Vail Resorts family extend their deepest sympathy and support to the family and friends of the skier. The resort would like to acknowledge the assistance of the CareFlight staff in the rescue efforts.
