VERDI, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The man involved in the Nov. 10 officer-involved shooting near Gold Ranch Casino has been identified as 27-year-old Michael Heil from Truckee, according to Reno Police.
Police say an on-duty Washoe County Sheriff's Office Deputy was involved in the shooting during the stop of Heil. The shooting resulted in injuries to the the Heil, and he was transported to a local hospital. Heil is still at local hospital and his condition has been upgraded to "stable." The Deputy was not harmed during this incident.
Police say the Deputy has been placed on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
