SPARKS, NV (KRNV & MYNEWS4.COM)-- Sparks Police responded to a report of a man run over by a vehicle late Friday night.
According to witnesses, a male victim was lying in the middle of the road at a intersection northbound of Rock Blvd and Tyler Way, when a vehicle drove over his body. The driver of the vehicle did stop but soon took off. Witnesses were able to get the license plate of the car.

Sparks PD located the 19-year-old suspect at a residence one block away from where the accident happened.

The 34-year-old victim was transported to Renown with non-life threatining injuries.
Authorities believe alcohol is a factor with the victim but not the driver.

No charges have been filed.

"Authorities believe alcohol is a factor with the victim but not the driver" Maybe that's why there were no charges. Even though there should be as the person left a person to die and not to even help them by calling 911.

Leaving the scene is a big "no-no" for sure, but why was the person already "lying in the middle of the road?"
