SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities in Orange County say a man claims he accidentally shot a woman to death with a BB gun.

The Orange County Register says police were called to a Santa Ana home Thursday morning.

Cpl. Anthony Bertagna says they found a woman unconscious with a small wound in her upper chest. Thirty-two-year-old Martha Marin died at a hospital.

Police say a 34-year-old man at the home told officers he accidentally shot her with a BB rifle. However, police haven't determined whether the shooting really was accidental.

The man wasn't immediately arrested but an investigation continues.

Bertagna says the couple lived together for 14 years and have two children.

CLPsNana-Your snarled remarks are unwarranted. If you want journalist reporting, writing, publishing factual news reporting, then it should be written and stated to be factual. A picture that does not represent the facts and leads the reader to believe that type of weapon was used is factual should be corrected when the error is pointed out, or even better before the news editor for corrections before it goes live, published. No wonder we live in a mixed up society of lies and deceit.

They use generic pictures to depict what topic the stories are about. It wasn't intended to be a picture of the weapon used. Good Grief, just once I would like to ready a news story and have someone actually comment on the STORY not gripe about something that has nothing to do with the article. GROW UP

so the story states the person who shot 'accidently' the woman used a bb rifle, and you post an image of a bb handgun....not accurate to story News4. Show the possible Daisy bb rifle or other manufacture of bb rifles...
