UPDATE (KRNV & -- A mishap in the Washoe County Sheriff's Office booking system has led to some confusion surrounding the man who killed local sportscaster JK Metzker.

Back in September, Ryan Rhea was sentenced to probation for up to five years for the felony hit and run death of JK Metzker. He later pleaded guilty in Justice Court to misdemeanor driving under the influence in the same case.

In Wednesday's booking report, it states Rhea was arrested for violating his probation; however, Assistant District Attorney Elliot Satler tells News 4 there was some confusion in the way the booking report was written. Satler says Rhea did not do anything wrong and no arrest was made.

He explains Rhea willingly reported to jail Wednesday to serve a sentence for the misdemeanor drunken driving charge surrounding the death of JK Metzker -- a count he had not yet been booked for.

According to Deputy Armando Avina, Rhea was at the Washoe County Jail for about five hours. He was released on his own recognizance.

According to Captain Steiber, Rhea was released from the Washoe County Jail on his own recognizance.

News 4 has a call in to the Assistant District Attorney handling this case, Elliot Satler, for the details surrounding the plea agreement.

This is NOT a new offense. He was not originally booked on a DUI. His plea agreement stipulated he had to be booked for one. A prob viol/hold is usually placed when a person on prob has contact with law enforcement. This was the case and his violation was dropped because there was no violation.

Channel 4 obviously does not do a very good job at reporting breaking news. Especially from a year age. Put the truth out there. Metzger was a .24,not in a crosswalk. wearing dark clothing.

cHANNEL 4 does not have their news straight. Obviously, Ryan Rhea was arrested from a year ago even though he was a .This is not a recent story, but obviously the breathalizer test in Nevada does not work or channel 4 is just looking for a story that is a year ago. Sad, what channel 4 will do for a story. Maybe they should check into the breathalizer test that obviously does not work. alot of people can get off on a drunk driving due to nevada laws. You go channel 4, you are writing a story that is defamation of character. So sad, that this is all you have. \
