Believed suspect in manhunt caught

UPDATE 6:10p.m. - Carson City Deputies say they have caught the believed suspect in the manhunt.

The man was found near Carson High School, he tried to hide inside a school bus.

Authorities sent in a canine and the suspect was bit. 

The unidentified suspect is currently in custody.




UPDATE - According to Sheriff Ken Furlong, at 12 a.m., two girls (unknown ages) were taken into custody for being responsible in the incident.

They have been identified as Nina Montalbano and Ebony Turnipseed. 

A male (unknown age) is still outstanding, but the Carson City Sheriff's Office believes they may know where he could be hiding out in Carson City.

Furlong says the two girls are residents of an apartment the outstanding suspect may be hiding out in, and about 300 yards away is a house which is owned by an older woman related to either the girls or the man.

According to Furlong, he could be at either place.





UPDATE: The incident began during a routine license plate check. A Carson City Sheriff ran the California plate of a silver Toyota and it came up reported stolen. 

The male driver fled the scene on foot leaving two female passengers behind. Both females were arrested.

The driver is still at large and is described as a bald Hispanic male.
Carson City, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- A manhunt is underway in Carson City. According to Sheriff Ken Furlong the suspect allegedly attacked a Deputy.

Sheriff Furlong says the incident started when the suspect was involved in a vehicle versus vehicle altercation with a Deputy.

According to Furlong, the Raven Helicopter was just arriving on scene in Carson City around 10:15p.m. tonight to search the Lone Mountain Cemetery area near Beverly Drive.

Furlong says the whole area has been closed off as Deputies search the area. News 4 has also heard reports of canines searching the area.

Authorities are asking people in the Carson City area to be alert and stay inside their homes if possible as the search continues.

hopefully the one "girl" isn't related to Ricardo Montelban, and the other no relation to Mike Turnipseed, NV State Watermaster. U can't even make this stuff up!! Dial up the spy satellite, things are slow for tee-potty snipers.
