SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A Cambridge, Mass. woman whose fiancee ordered a tie and pocket square from Gap Inc. chain Banana Republic says they were astonished at what they got in the mail instead: confidential employee files, including Social Security numbers, W2s, resignation letters and doctors' notes.

The package arrived at Emily Dreyfuss' home on Thursday. Her fiancee had ordered the tie and pocket square for the couple's July 5 wedding.

The parcel they got had three folders sealed with tape that said, "HR Administraton." Inside were handwritten resignation letters, salary information, dates of birth and other personal information for about 20 employees.

The employees were sales support associates and at least one made $9 an hour.

Dreyfuss, whose father is actor Richard Dreyfuss, said a Banana Republic representative has apologized for the mix-up.
