RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) --One of the most popular rock bands in the world is smashing into Reno Friday night and a group of local high school students will be joining them on stage.

Since their inception Foreigner has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide and their music continues to captivate generation after generation including the McQueen High School choir.

"I've listened to a lot of their albums so it's really exciting to be able to perform with them," McQueen High School senior Samuel Bergebin says.

The McQueen choir will be joining Foreigner on stage to sing their classic #1 hit "I want to know what love is."

Foreigner has a local choir sing the hit with them every time the band performs.

Also, during the concert the students will be selling foreigner CD/DVD sets to help raise funds to go towards the Grammy Foundation, Foreigner's charity partner. The money will go to high school music programs all over the country.

The band is also donating $500 to the McQueen music program.

"The money is going to be used for music books, festival fees, travel, things like that. We're running low on books," McQueen High School Choir student teacher Karleen Otten says.

The concert is on Friday April 19th at 8 p.m. at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino. Tickets are $55.50 to $69.50.
