HAWTHORNE, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A husband and wife have been arrested for growing marijuana and opium plants at their home.

According to Mineral County Sheriff Stewart Handte, the Sheriff's Office received a tip earlier on Friday, and made the arrests at around 6:30 p.m. When the house at 3010 Towe Road was searched, deputies found 30 marijuana plants and opium-poppy plants to make heroin.

The husband and wife, who have not yet been identified, are facing a number of Felony charges, from Drug Possession to Cultivation with Intent to Sell. They are being held at the Mineral County Jail.
