Missing Gardnerville couple found, woman in hospital

News 4 has confirmed with Sergeant Eric Mattke with the Citrus Heights Police Department that around 8:30p.m. tonight Paula Lane was found walking near Burnside Rd and State Route 88, in Hope Valley.

The couple was driving a jeep that was found near a remote lake.

We are told the couple was not involved in a crash, but the jeep got stuck in the snow.

Searchers had to use snowmobiles to get to the jeep.

Mattke also tells us the other person, who he refused to identify, was also not found in the jeep, the person’s condition is not being released.

News 4 knows Paula Lane was taken to Carson Tahoe Hospital and is being treated for mild frost bite.


Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- News 4 has learned that the missing couple from Gardnerville has been found.

News 4 has been in contact with the mother of Paula Lane who went missing last Thursday, November 29, 2012 when she and her boyfriend were leaving Citrus Heights, California headed for Gardnerville.

Delores Lane tells News 4 that Paula and her boyfriend Roderick Clifton were found by Paula's brother, Gary Lane, off State Route 88 near Sorensen's Resort in Hope Valley today, December 5, 2012.

The couple is being taken to Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

Delores Lane says Paula is alive, but her condition is unknown. Roderick's condition is completely unknown at this time.
