Missing child may be in Reno area

MINDEN, Nevada (Mynews4.com & KRNV) - The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is continuing to search for a 17-year-old female, who has been missing since October 6. Investigators believe that Treasa Ramirez ran away from the Rite of Passage home in Minden, and may be in the Reno/Sparks area.

Ramirez left the residence on foot in an unknown direction. She was last seen in her bedroom. In the vicinity of the ROP house, a bag was located with clothing believed to be what she was wearing.

Ramirez is 5-6, 130 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She is from the Winnemucca area and may be headed back to that location.

The Center for Missing and Exploited Children has been contacted concerning this case. Anyone with any information is urged to contact Investigator Jeff Schemenauer at (775) 782-9926 or Douglas County Dispatch at (775) 782-5126.
