KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak addressed the media about missing Malaysian Airlines Fight MH370 on Friday night (Saturday afternoon, Malaysia time), saying that they can confirm that "with a high degree of certainty," Flight MH370's communication systems were disabled, and that subsequent movements were "deliberate actions by someone on the plane."

Prime Minister Razak also said that Flight MH370 went towards Thailand or the Southern Indian Ocean, and search operations are ending in the South China Sea. Investigators have refocused their attention onto the pilots and passengers on board Flight MH370.

Despite previous reports of hijacking, all possibilities are still being investigated.

Really??? What news are you reading or watching, tonysam? What "experts" do you cite? As of today, most "experts" think the crew is behind the disappearance. And by the way, "you don't have any evidence that I am wrong". Sound familiar? If you read my original post, you'd see that I didn't take a stand on any theory. I was pointing out the few known facts, like no debris... anywhere. We'll find out if and when they find the aircraft. Until then both you and I are wasting our typing skills.

The fact is if the plane had been hijacked, it would have already been known. I am pretty sure I am right about this being a cabin pressure issue, but that isn't the point, Nevadadad. It's the fact an official is literally pulling stuff out of his ass with no facts, and the media are going with this. You don't have any evidence I am wrong, either. A lot of experts are agreeing with me, by the way, and are moving away from the crackpot hijacking/terrorist theory that you subscribe to.

tony, if your theory were true, the plane wouldn't have strayed far from the last known position before crashing. Even if it went straight in, debris would have appeared. None of us, including you, has any idea what happened. But the usual evidence of a tragedy of the kind you're thinking, just isn't there.

The officials are wrong. It appears to be a horrible tragedy not unlike what happened with the Payne Stewart plane in 1999. The prime minister has no evidence, and neither does anybody else. They are trying to pin the blame on the pilots, but there are qualifiers galore. The pilots tried to turn the plane, but perhaps to go back when there were malfunctions galore on the plane. Then decompression, and the plane was out of the pilots' control. No other explanation makes any sense at all. Shame on these officials and the media trying to claim this was an act of terrorism. This is clearly a catastrophic situation.
