According to Sparks Police Sergeant Greta Woyciehowsy, a series of tips lead investigators to Thomas Brant's home. When officer's arrived, they noticed fresh disrupted dirt in the back yard and located Kimberly Seaton deceased and buried in a shallow grave in the back yard of his home. An autopsy has been completed, but they have not released the exact cause of death.
Sparks police say Brant has been booked on murder charges and is cooperating police.
SPARKS, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Sparks Police say missing woman Kimberly Seaton was found dead, and Thomas Brant, 57, was arrested for murder.
Sparks Police say their investigation led to an address in the 1800 block of C Street in Sparks where Seaton had been staying with Brant.
Detectives spoke with Brant and conducted a search of the residence. Seaton's body was located buried in a shallow grave in the back yard of his residence.
Brant was interviewed by detectives and admitted to the murder of Seaton. Brant will be booked into the Washoe County Jail on one count of Murder.
New information will be released as the investigation continues. The victim's family has been notified and has requested that they be allowed privacy and time to grieve their loss.
