LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police are responding to reports of shots fired at a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.
Las Vegas Police Sgt. John Sheahan tells The Associated Press that police were called to a report of gunfire just before 9:30 p.m. Friday at the Excalibur hotel-casino. He didn't immediately release any other details.
The Excalibur is located at the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard. It was the largest hotel in the world with more than 4,200 rooms when it was completed in 1990.
The hotel is named for the mythical sword of King Arthur, and its facade is a stylized image of a castle.
