UPDATE 2:00PM ---

According to Washoe County Sheriff Detective Lt. Jerry Balbridge, the body is believed to be a man in his 50's, and they are not sure of the cause of death. Deputies believe it is a suspicious death, but there are no suspects or arrests at this time.

Balbridge tells News 4 that the victim has family in the area and that a friend lent the victim his truck that is missing. Deputies are looking for a 1998 white GMC Silverado with a Nevada license plate number of 336 UNB, as a vehicle of interest.

The call came into the Sheriff's Office around 8 a.m. this morning, with what deputies say was a frantic call from a female reporting party. The Washoe County Sheriff's Office say they have interviewed a couple of witnesses so far.

The victim's body was found in a ditch off the Mustang Ranch exit off of I-80 East. Both the on and off-ramp are currently blocked off and are expected to be for a while.
