SPANISH SPRINGS, Nev. (Mynews4.com & KRNV)- Neighbors describe strange activity at a home where a body was found in the backyard.  Those who live near the home on Mia Drive in Spanish Springs, say people were constantly coming and going at all hours of the night.  They say the man who lived at the home would bring in "trailers full of stuff."  The backyard is full of a variety of home items, including two toilets sitting near the fence.

One neighbor says his dogs were barking and acting strange near the house just a few days ago.

Detectives are calling it a homicide investigation but they have yet to release the identity of the body or a cause of death.  According to Detectives, the person who called in the tip lives in Fallon and that is why the call went to the Fallon Police Department.

Law enforcement officials say at this time there is no indication that this is a beginning of a pattern of violence. They are asking anyone who notices suspicious activity to call police.

Ryan Petty was one of the most honest person that I have ever met. He did numerous jobs for me in my home and rental property. He was certainly not a "tweaker" as some might think. I am shocked beyond words that someone would do him harm as he was such a true caring person who enjoyed helping people out. He will be missed by all that truly new his character. He looked after his dying father and was concerned when he had to travel out of town for his contracting jobs.It was our pleasure to have him in our home for dinner.

Actually Ryan (the victim) was not a "tweaker" at all. What he was, actually, was a very active contractor that brought items home for jobs! He was in and out a lot because he did work all over Nevada and California. He was an avid sportsman, loved motorcycles, cars, fishing, and his friends. He was a wonderful and caring person trying to help out a friend, and this is what he got for it.

These are probably more of the same 'tweakers' who have repeatedly dumped "strange" stuff in and around the dumpsters at Baring Village for years...this has included human waste in buckets and a lot of beer bottles/cans, besides the usual waste oil, old surplus food, animal bones. old bed sp-sp-springs DieHard
